The Friends of the Weber-Morgan Children's Justice Center is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that provides resources to create a child-friendly, comfortable environment to reduce victim trauma during child abuse investigations. Children and their families receive coordinated services during the investigation process.
A $10 donation will provide "comfort measures" for children who come to the Weber-Morgan Children's Justice Center. What is a comfort measure? Something to help put them at ease. Having a coloring book and crayons can help keep little minds occupied when so many unfamiliar things are going on around them.
A $25 "comfort measures" donation will provide soft drinks, snacks, coffee or hot chocolate - these go a long way in making someone feel at home. Families may be at the CJC longer than planned, or come right after school - so it's great to have a snack.
A $50 donation helps us provide paper goods (i.e. napkins, plates, utensils, paper towels) for everyone here at the CJC ... whether its the children and families here having a snack or an emergency meal, or the Multi-Disciplinary Team (MDT) during their staffing lunch where they review the week's cases ... we need them more than you would think.
A $75 donation will provide us the ability to have hair analysis done on children suspected of being exposed to drugs.
A $100 doantiom will help provide an hour of therapy for children who need follow up support once they've told their story here at the Weber-Morgan CJC. When children score "high" on the risk assessment that they take, we help coordinate follow-up services like therapy to help get them back on the road to recovery.
